I was there at FBC for a little over 2 weeks. I could have stayed longer to address medication issues, as I should have, because NOW I'm in Kansas City, and all the mental health services apparently suck. But while I was at FBC the staff was very attentive and professional, and my care was exemplary.

For 10 of Holly Hill's 40 years I have worked serving as a mental health technician, therapist and CPR instructor. It has been key to me discovering my clinical voice and purpose. Over the next 10 years I plan to support Holly Hill's mission of patient safety and care. When asked why, it is solely because of how I answer the following question: If I had a family member who needed the services of a behavioral health hospital would I recommend Holly Hill? "Yes"

According to a few reviews, they did not find it to be the optimum place for your loved one. However, with the cutbacks in mental health funding, it is one of the few places available. That's just the way it is, considering the spending priorities of our political leaders have reduced funding for the mentally ill.

I would HIGHLY recommend this partial hospitalization program here at Holly Hill. The staff is amazing!! The psychiatrist, Dr Lobao, has a wealth of knowledge and experience and takes his time with you. All the therapists are also very good at what they do. Laura Pond, in particular, is very knowledgeable as well as kind. The amount of time spent here gives the staff a very good idea of your situation and what can be done to fix it. Again, a wonderful program!!!

Holly Hill Hospital was a very helpful experience for me. They kept me safe and gave me resources to get me through my suicidal and self-harm thoughts. I was in the youth unit with 10 other patients around my age. They were all super cool and interesting and strong. We were all really supportive of one another and helped each other get through the days here. I found the therapist to be helpful and supportive as well as most of the mental health techs and nurses. I recommend this facility to anyone that is considering suicide or is having mental health problems that they can't manage.

As an employee at Holly Hill, I have always found the adult campus to be the central hub of activity. Where the children's campus is a little more low-key, the adult facility tends to have a higher energy and a great deal of thought and dedication put into it's success by the leadership staff. Because of many moving pieces, our role as community liaisons is crucial because we are consistently supporting our community providers with updates and assisting in the admissions process. This way there is a face with the name "Holly Hill", and our referral sources know the business development team works hard to keep them informed. This is a unique facet of our facility and something that many mental health providers and patients alike appreciate across the state.

The staff was very professional and as courteous as possible much better than I had ever expected. I hate to say that the food was not that great or diverse, though I was eventually able to get meals that I was comfortable eating. I was encouraged to help myself and others in the group I was in. I felt safe for the most part with the exception of some of the other patients. A few more minutes of sweeping would help a great deal. I would suggest hiring another custodian to be able to spend more time on cleaning rooms and floors. The staff was very sensitive and open to my language, cultural and spiritual needs. The groups were very helpful and I enjoyed them. A patient satisfaction survey on the website would be a nice touch. I had input into my treatment plans. I was very satisfied with the unit/program staff. I was satisfied with my physician; she was very smart and attentive to my situation and needs and I appreciate her working with me on my medication. I was treated with dignity and respect by all the staff and I am very impressed. I do feel better now than when I was admitted. I understood what my medications do and why/how I should take them. I was satisfied with my treatment. I would recommend this facility to someone needing treatment, but keep in mind, this is the only facility I have visited.
